Performix was contracted by a residential thermostat company to develop an Android mobile app for remote thermostat control. The app, built from scratch, was based on an IoT app and allowed users to adjust temperature and humidity settings and manage their homes remotely. The engineering manager of the thermostat company, who was the main point of contact, worked with a team of five from Performix. The team was selected after a Request for Quote (RFQ) process, where Performix stood out due to their reasonable quote and responsiveness. The project, which cost around $200,000, spanned two years from September 2010 to the end of 2012. Performix not only built the Android app, but they also took over the maintenance of both versions of the app.
