Parrolabs undertook a website rebuild and ongoing development for the World English Institute, a global language learning company. The Parrolabs team familiarized themselves with the existing website, its functions, and code, then broke down and upgraded the code. They also added several new features and functionalities, and enhanced the reporting tools to improve data transfer speed. The website was upgraded to DOT4, with plans to move to DOT5. The overall design remained the same, with some applications improved. The project began in April 2019 and is ongoing, with a total investment of around $30,000.
For the non-profit organization, Virufy, Parrolabs managed a social media marketing campaign during the Covid-19 pandemic. Virufy, which is developing a smartphone app for prescreening Covid-19 through AI-powered analysis of cough sounds, selected Parrolabs due to their strong presence in Colombia, a key focus region for Virufy. The Parrolabs team created a detailed posting timeline and strategy to align with Virufy's marketing campaign. The CEO and two social media project managers from Parrolabs were involved in this project.
Parrolabs provided software development staff augmentation for GetHelp, a company that manages recovery residences and homeless shelters. The company hired Parrolabs for long-term feature development. Parrolabs was selected for their great cultural fit, good value for cost, and a referral. The scope of work included maintaining and building out key components of the system, including all applications, and mobile apps in conjunction with GetHelp's internal developers.
