Highlights from Recent Projects
Ortosoft was hired by a construction tool manufacturer to develop a software product line. Their main task was to create a Qt application on an embedded Linux device. They customized a Yocto Linux OS, developed a business application, and built support tools for production and services. This covered every aspect of development, including architecture, implementation, testing, and infrastructure. The team was composed of four developers and one tester with a wide range of skills. Despite other software suppliers being less expensive, Ortosoft was chosen due to their domain knowledge and the company's good experiences with them in the past.
Ortosoft was contracted by Digital Dental Service Ltd to develop 3D medical software. The tool was required to manage complex input data, allow users to manipulate it, and produce a 3D STL (Standard Triangle Language) file that displayed the manipulations. Ortosoft developed the entire software solution from scratch using C++ technology. The software allows dentists to input multiple medical images and complex 3D files and easily manipulate the data on both Mac and PC devices. The software then generates an STL file that showcases the adjustments. Ortosoft provided a fluid team, scaling up or down to accommodate the workload.
An advertising platform owner engaged Ortosoft to develop a desktop application. Ortosoft built a 3D graphics engine application that allows users with minimal graphic design experience to create and edit 3D animations that can then be easily embedded onto a website. The technology is Adobe Flash compatible and was built using C++ and other libraries. The team was composed of three people, including a project manager and a couple of programmers. The owner invested about $80,000 in the project, which lasted for a few years from 2011–2014. Despite other options, Ortosoft was chosen based on a recommendation from a colleague.
