Ortom

Ortom was engaged by a foodtech startup focused on food safety to provide data science consultancy. The company had a vast amount of data and sought the expertise of Ortom to identify potential commercial opportunities. Ortom conducted a comprehensive review of the data, executed several experiments to identify opportunities, and provided recommendations on how to best utilize the data. They identified both commercial and technical opportunities. The client spent around $8,000-$9,000 for this ongoing project that started in December 2021.

In another project, Ortom partnered with a worktech solutions company to develop an AI solution. The company wanted to automate the process of job application approval which was initially manually done. Ortom developed a machine-learning model from scratch using Python. They came up with an algorithm that assigned applicants to appropriate jobs based on several criteria. The project, which cost approximately $25,000, started in January 2022 and concluded in November 2022.

Ortom was also hired by a social network startup to conduct a data science analysis. The startup was developing an app that required complex algorithms and machine learning capabilities. Ortom was chosen based on their reviews and leadership in the UK data science field. They built a system based on proprietary research to ensure smooth operation of the product for its beta launch. The company worked directly with Tom, the founder of Ortom, on this project.
