Opentech

Opentech was hired by a record shop owner to develop a custom tool or plug-in that could synchronize the shop's database with its website. The tool was to be compatible with Wordpress and Discogs. The vendor was selected through a referral, and a team of two from Opentech worked on the project. The custom tool was successfully developed and implemented, meeting the client's needs and expectations.

For the second project, Opentech was employed by Odys Global, a premium aged domains marketplace, to rebuild their entire marketplace and backend/admin area. The goal was to create a more robust and scalable solution, taking their MVP to the next level. Opentech was chosen for their willingness to integrate with the client's operations and replace the tech/IT department, fostering growth. The project involved building a custom marketplace for digital products, improving development time for new features, and enhancing overall performance. The team from Opentech gradually increased as the product grew, including a project owner, a scrum master, a tech lead, and a group of 10 developers, including QA. The project was successfully completed, with new features quickly built and released to production for testing.

The third project involved BoundaryCare, a SaaS platform for supporting individuals with cognitive impairments and disabilities, and their care teams. Opentech was hired to develop a front-end web portal and an Android watch client. The vendor was selected based on their competitive pricing, cultural fit, value for cost, and alignment with company values. A team of 2-5 employees from Opentech worked on the project. The scope of work included designing and developing a front-end react application and an Android wear client for their flagship wearable-based alerting and communications product. The project was successful, with the web app continuing to expand and the Android wear client expected to be released by the end of Q3 2023.
