Highlights from Recent Projects
Online Department partnered with software company Topicus to expand their line of thinking and increase empathy towards clients. The company also required outsourcing for some of their development work. Online Department provided development support for the complex web and mobile applications Topicus builds for healthcare registration and mortgaging. They also facilitated, conceptualized, and researched methods to expand skill sets and outlooks. The collaboration, which started in December 2017, involved a team of six from Online Department, including one of the co-founders, and cost over $60,000.
PowerHouse, an energy tech company, hired Online Department to create a unified brand message across their multiple websites and to develop a new, scalable website that combined information from the old sites. The company required a website that they could maintain themselves, including adding content, pages for new products, and additional site features. Online Department successfully completed an initial project of creating an infographic about PowerHouse's business before building the new website. The project, which ran from September 2017 to September 2018, was led by Frans, the Customer Value Creator at Online Department.
Retailisation, a software as a service (SaaS) company, engaged Online Department to design user-friendly interfaces that could manage backend complexities for various projects. The collaboration included the design of a native mobile app for iOS and Android devices, with the work breakdown being roughly 20% design and 80% development. Online Department also helped Retailisation use a flexible shell for their web app, which was initially delivered via a SharePoint application. The ongoing partnership, which started in March 2017, has so far cost around $40,000.
