Oivan

Oivan was contracted by Stufio, a sustainable service startup, to develop a demo version of their platform. The challenge was to build an intuitive, user-friendly platform that encouraged people to borrow items they only used occasionally instead of owning them. Oivan successfully developed an InDesign demo of the platform, highlighting the visual experience and intuitive elements to encourage user return. The project took six to eight weeks, from May until June 2019, costing approximately $5,400. Working with a team of two to three, including a project manager and a UX person, Stufio was pleased with the results.

Owner and director of Justin Guitar approached Oivan to redesign his website. The challenge was to develop a responsive website with a custom CMS. Oivan's team built the site from scratch, importing all the data from the previous website to make it responsive. They incorporated a user dashboard where users could save favorite lessons, track their progress, and track any donations or purchases made through the site. The project, started in August 2017, is ongoing. The lead developer and a team of 5-6 people are working on incorporating new features for users.

Oivan was hired by an online and hybrid meeting services provider to replace their current MVP with a production version of the service. The goal was to outsource significant software and web development work to Oivan, allowing the startup to focus on business development. Oivan was chosen for their ability to engage in wider project planning discussions. They quickly built the next version of the product using React.js and Node.js and began testing features with real user data. The client has worked mainly with two different developers, each with different fields of expertise. The client appreciates having a partner that can cater to various needs, whether for a long-term development project or a short-term specific need for a specialized competence.
