Northwest Independent Ruby Development (NIRD) worked alongside Behavioral Tech on the development of Linehan Suicide Safety Net, an online software for mental health service providers. The software was designed to facilitate electronic record-keeping for clients at risk of suicide. Initially, NIRD was hired to make the program HIPAA compliant, but the scope of the project expanded as the team identified several stability issues with the program. A thorough overhaul of two parts of the program was undertaken to ensure stability. The project, which cost around $45,000, was completed over a span of 15 months with the engagement starting in spring 2015 and concluding in summer 2016. The final product is now a robust and secure platform that meets the required health information privacy standards.
