Highlights from Recent Projects
Next LATAM was hired by the Human Rights and Democracy Project to develop an Early Warning System for the Procuraduría para la Defensa de los Derechos Humanos in El Salvador. The system was designed to automatically detect potential social conflicts that could escalate into human rights violations. Next LATAM was chosen for their experience in both the private and public sectors and the quality of their proposal. They worked closely with the Procuraduría and civil society organizations to identify current human rights issues in El Salvador and create indicators for evaluating social conflicts. The project involved complex data gathering and the creation of an internal website and apps. The system was successfully implemented and is currently in use. The project team included Next LATAM's general manager and legal representative, and the company was proactive in including Procuraduría staff in communications. The Procuraduría was the ultimate beneficiary of the project.
