Highlights from Recent Projects
Next LATAM was hired by the Pan-American Development Foundation's Human Rights and Democracy Project to develop an Early Warning System for the Procuraduría para la Defensa de los Derechos Humanos in El Salvador. The aim of the system was to prevent social conflicts that could potentially escalate into human rights violations. Next LATAM was selected for this project due to its extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. The project involved identifying current human rights issues in El Salvador, creating indicators to evaluate social conflicts, and providing IT services through the Procuraduría's internal website and system apps. The Early Warning System was successfully implemented and is currently in use.
The project was deemed a success, with the Early Warning System now operational and being used by the Procuraduría. The process involved close collaboration between Next LATAM, the Procuraduría, and civil society organizations. The creation of the evaluation indicators was a particularly complex task due to the intricate nature of the data involved. The general manager and legal representative of Next LATAM were the primary resources involved in the project, and they ensured that the Procuraduría's staff were included in all communications. The project demonstrated Next LATAM's ability to handle complex data and deliver high-quality IT solutions.
