Neudesic was hired by a legal services firm to create advanced Power BI dashboards. The project involved moving data between Azure Data stores using Azure Data Factory and transforming the data. The goal was to identify individuals with multiple convictions who were eligible for release after a fourth conviction. The dashboards were designed to filter out and identify outliers in the convicted population and determine any range of differences based on race, fines, jail time, judges, prosecutors, attorneys, and more. The dashboards were to be used by lawyers for legislative work, presenting changes to the state, and advocating for the release of certain prisoners. The project, which ran from May to December 2019, was executed by a team of three from Neudesic. The client had previously interviewed with Neudesic and was impressed with their expertise in Microsoft Technologies. The project cost over $50,000.
