Neat

Cal.com, an open-source scheduling tool company, engaged Neat to develop a two-way sync system for Linear and GitHub tickets. The primary objective was to ensure that user comments were reflected on both platforms. Neat was selected based on their swift execution, technical expertise, and the existing relationship between the two companies. The project scope entailed three significant user journeys: admins, team members, and public contributors. The key deliverable was a self-hosted web-app deploying to Railway (or similar), a Next.js frontend, an Express.js webhook, and a PostgreSQL database for storing labels and users. The technologies utilized were Next.js, Tailwind CSS, NextAuth, webhook consumers in Vercel API endpoints, and Typescript. The entire project was handled by a single full-stack developer (CTO) from Neat.
