Highlights from Recent Projects
MW2 Consulting was hired by the VP of e-commerce for James Free Jewelers for a Magento development project. The goal was to move from Magento 1.7 to 1.9, perform extension upgrades, customize for better user experience, and improve site's navigation and load time. MW2 successfully completed a full data migration and revamped the site to make it more mobile-friendly. The project was complex in nature, but MW2 managed to deliver effectively on the development side. The client appreciated their balance of cost and quality, and the ability to work with both a stateside project manager and coders based in Minsk, Belarus. The project was launched in April 2017 and is still ongoing.
In their engagement with a publisher, MW2 Consulting provided support and enhancement services for the client's Magento website. The client needed a reliable partner to resolve technical and functional issues on their site. MW2 demonstrated their technical expertise by managing small tickets and following best practices. The client was satisfied with the results and continued their engagement with MW2, which started in early 2018.
MW2 Consulting was contracted by Stella & Dot, a social retail platform, to support the development and design of their e-commerce platform. The platform was built using Ruby on Rails and the client needed experienced developers in micro service architecture. MW2 added additional functionality to the service layer, supported frontend execution, and developed B2B and consumer-facing portals. They also implemented a complex referral program and were a key contributor to the system's health. The partnership, which began in April 2015, was valued at over $500,000. However, it was potentially ending in the wake of COVID-19.
