Highlights from Recent Projects
Montrose Software developed a new website for a real estate platform that allows users to select, purchase, and potentially rent back homes. The website was built from scratch using Ruby on Rails and integrated with Salesforce and credit agencies for credit checks. The website was hosted on AWS and utilized multiple AWS systems. The project, which ran from June 2013 to April 2015, cost between $750,000 and $1 million. The client mainly interacted with one project manager and a development team that varied in size from two to four members.
For the online retailer of designer fashion fabrics, EmmaOneSock, Montrose Software revamped the website's outdated middleware, made it mobile-friendly, and migrated the platform to the cloud using Microsoft Azure SQL Database. They rewrote the entire backend, converted the Classic ASP site to ASP.NET, implemented various JavaScript-based client technology, and updated the encryption certificate. The client worked closely with Montrose's head of technology and two additional programmers since November 2017.
Montrose Software assisted Freshpair, a lingerie and intimates retailer, with a Shopify migration from their custom website. They set up an ecomdash connection, imported necessary fields from the legacy software, and duplicated the Amazon Web Services (AWS) server to clone the legacy site onto an internal server. This project, which cost $180,000, ran from September 2016 to August 2017. The client worked directly with the senior software developer and the founder for invoicing and general high-level concerns, and still reaches out to the team with questions about the AWS server.
