Mobile Mentor

Mobile Mentor was engaged by the Forestry Corporation of New South Wales to digitize their manual logging system. The first project involved developing a mobile application that transitioned the company from a carbon copy docket system to a real-time digital docketing system. This enabled them to have a single point of truth for information, track their trucks, and manage their business operations more efficiently. The second project addressed the company's stock management. Prior to this, the company struggled with getting real-time information about the amount of wood available. With the mobile app, drivers could access real-time information and see their location relative to the product. This improved efficiency in stock management, benefiting both drivers and customers. The company maintains an ongoing relationship with Mobile Mentor for app maintenance and updates.

It also featured GPS tracking, which enabled the company to analyze data for every truck and gather information on road maintenance and engineering. The data from the app was directly uploaded to the company's accounting system, allowing them to generate reports within 30 minutes of completing a load, a process that previously took up to 14 days. The company has been live for 9-10 months and is starting the second phase with Mobile Mentor, which involves leveraging new technologies and improving the user experience.
