Highlights from Recent Projects
MH Manufacturing partnered with a consumer home products company to develop a rechargeable battery for window shades. The company worked with MH Manufacturing from the design phase through to sourcing materials and components. MH Manufacturing took the initial design, refined it for manufacturing, and is now the sole manufacturer of the rechargeable battery. Throughout the project, the team at MH Manufacturing were hands-on, providing guidance and expertise. The company invested between $250,000–$500,000 on engineering and tooling costs for this project which began in January 2019 and is still ongoing.
In another project, MH Manufacturing collaborated with color management instrumentation company, X-Rite, to manufacture touch and non-touch LCD displays. The two companies worked together to finalize the design, based on the general requirements set by X-Rite. The product was successfully tested and qualified and is now being manufactured by MH Manufacturing. The project began in January 2017 and continues to date, with the team at MH Manufacturing providing both sales and technical support.
Lastly, MH Manufacturing worked with an IT company that provides security hardware and software for construction sites. The project started with MH Manufacturing sourcing displays for the company, but evolved to them taking over the complete production process. This included mechanical design, sourcing, production, and testing. Over the years, the IT company has worked with around 20 people from MH Manufacturing, investing between $7 million and $10 million. The partnership began in November 2013 and is still ongoing.
