Metaclass

Metaclass was engaged by Gearo GmbH, a marketplace for film and photo equipment, to enhance their existing platform. The platform required advanced Python Django knowledge for the development of on-demand product features. Metaclass handled all development-related work, from server infrastructure to the entire front and backend. They also worked extensively with the payment provider to integrate it into the platform. The platform, which was initially at a basic stage and riddled with bugs, was significantly improved by Metaclass in terms of features, infrastructure, and security. The collaboration started in late 2016 and is ongoing with the final cost expected to be between $50,000–$100,000.

A fintech startup hired Metaclass to develop the back-end of a greenfield web project. The project aimed to present users with different scenarios of their financial futures based on their current life and investment decisions. Metaclass was initially recruited for another project, but the company decided they were overqualified for that and invited them to work on this more challenging one. Metaclass utilized various technologies such as Python, FastAPI, Pydantic, OAS, Encode databases, SQLAlchemy, Postgres, Redis, and Docker. They also used AWS technologies like ECS, Fargate, and RDS. The team included Sasha and Basil, both back-end developers, with Sasha also responsible for architectural design, planning, and DevOps.

Brandly, a platform for companies to purchase business cards, engaged Metaclass to accelerate their development process. Metaclass was provided with specific tasks which involved both front- and backend development, as well as design. They built around 80% of the admin dashboard, overhauled the email sending process, and built features to increase functionality around applying discounts and providing price quotes. The engagement, which started in March 2019, is ongoing with a monthly cost between $3,000-$6,000.
