Highlights from Recent Projects
Metaclass was engaged by Gearo GmbH, a marketplace for film and photo equipment, to enhance their existing platform. The project required advanced Python Django knowledge and the development of on-demand product features. Metaclass handled all development-related work including server infrastructure, front-end and back-end development, and integration with the payment provider. The platform was elevated to the next level in terms of features, infrastructure, and security. The collaboration began at the end of 2016 and is ongoing, with the final cost expected to be between $50,000–$100,000.
In another project, Metaclass was hired by a fintech startup to develop the back-end of a web project. The project involved presenting users with different scenarios of their financial futures based on their current life and investment decisions. The back-end needed to receive user's scenario variables, project them into the future, and present the consequences back to the users. Metaclass used a range of development and AWS technologies to complete the project, including Python, FastAPI, Pydantic, OAS, Encode databases, SQLAlchemy, Postgres, Redis, Docker, ECS, Fargate, and RDS.
Brandly, a business card printing platform, enlisted the services of Metaclass to accelerate their development process. Metaclass was tasked with both front-end and back-end development, design, and UX/UI design for products used by employees and customers. They built about 80% of the admin dashboard, overhauled the email system for efficiency, and added features to enhance functionality around discount application and price quotes. The engagement, which began in March 2019, is ongoing and costs between $3,000-$6,000 per month.
