Mecexis

Mecexis was engaged by the CMN Research Group, an institution within the Germans Trias i Pujol institute, to facilitate their scientific endeavors in healthcare improvement. The group's primary objective was to objectively measure behavioural changes in pigs pre and post-stroke, to evaluate the effectiveness of new treatments in mitigating stroke's neurological damage. The key to this was a software system capable of automatic behavioral analysis from videos, saving manual hours of researchers.

A lone employee from Mecexis was assigned to this project after the company was found through an online search, and selected due to their high online rating and culture fit. The task at hand was to develop a robust software solution to analyze videos, identify behavioural metrics, and correlate them with neurological disturbances. This software needed to minimize manual intervention and provide accurate and quantitative results.

The result of the project was successful, as the proposed solution seamlessly integrated with the client's processes. While enabling them to upload and analyze behavior videos, the system provided metrics to quantify neurological disturbances. The precise solution not only achieved CMN Research Group's initial objectives but also set a precedent for the application of such technology in scientific research.
