The Marcom Group worked with Kern Economic Development Corporation, a private non-profit based in Kern County, California, to create a comprehensive marketing strategy for the corporation's economic development initiatives. The Marcom Group's primary task was the creation of an annual Kern County Market Overview and Member Directory, an 88-page magazine designed to attract businesses to Kern County. The client appreciated the Marcom Group's hands-on approach, with project manager Chamil Payne and designer Keith providing crucial support and guidance throughout the process. The partnership, which began five years ago, is ongoing.
The Marcom Group was hired by Trilogy Personnel and Land Management, a temp agency for the agricultural industry, for a complete branding overhaul and website development. The main challenge was to create a consistent brand identity across all the companies operating under Trilogy. Marcom Group built a new WordPress website from scratch, ensuring that the client could easily update content as needed. They also helped with creating marketing materials like pamphlets and signs. The project, which cost under $10,000 for the website and $4,500 for rebranding, began in September 2012 and was completed in December 2012.
