Mappitall

Mappitall was hired by a San Francisco-based think tank to develop a GIS solution for the local municipality. The project aimed to improve management of assets and provide deeper insights from geographical data. Mappitall's primary deliverable was a parking web app that allowed users to find, book and track parking spaces. The app included a database of parking rules and current restrictions in the San Francisco Bay area. Mappitall also developed an interactive map for planning and monitoring street cleaning routes and schedules. The project was a success, with the client continuing to outsource work to one of the Mappitall data engineers due to their expertise and quality of work.

Climate X, a climate risk data company, hired Mappitall for IT staff augmentation and support in troubleshooting geospatial challenges. Mappitall was selected from a shortlist of firms on Upwork after an interview and test run. The Mappitall team, consisting of a lead and three full-stack engineers, provided ongoing support for DB development, rasterising climate intelligence, improving the speed and reliability of the solution, address matching and PDF report generation. The engagement was successful and Mappitall remains an integral part of the Climate X team.
