Highlights from Recent Projects
Mainmatter was hired by a software development company based in Switzerland to create a portable progressive web app. The goal was to allow end users to configure basic parameters of a home wireless network. Mainmatter successfully executed the project with a team consisting of a project manager, two software developers, a UX-designer, and occasionally, a graphic designer. The project commenced with an initial workshop to define user flow, after which wireframes were created and refined. The team used Ember.js as the underlying JavaScript framework, and the implementation process was constantly monitored, with prototypes available for review.
For a fintech startup named Asilimia, Mainmatter was tasked with positioning the company as a comprehensive enterprise solution for managing informal businesses. The project began with a two-week sprint to ideate and collect customer feedback. Mainmatter helped organize the team, acting as decision-makers and prototypers. Despite the challenge of coordinating a team located in different countries, Mainmatter successfully managed the team and facilitated both online and offline tasks. The result was the design and launch of a new Android application, which digitized the pen-and-paper process used by traders to track business sales and expenses.
AIS, a cybersecurity company, contracted Mainmatter to develop a web application that would visualize data and provide customer access. Mainmatter was chosen for its ability to cover both front-end development and design within a tight deadline. The project began with a discovery workshop to discuss goals and requirements. After a few iterations of wireframe drafts, the development commenced. The project was completed within approximately six weeks by a team of two senior developers, one UX/UI designer, and one junior developer.
