The second project was more complex, involving the creation of an Oculus VR tool to help users learn Mandarin. Initially designed for Gear VR, the project was moved to Oculus due to platform limitations. The tool allows users to practice drawing Mandarin characters in a VR environment, with successful attempts triggering a pop-up image representing the character and its phonetic pronunciation. Although the project was eventually put on hold, Neeraj's impressive work on the Oculus frontend was highlighted.
