Lunchtime Labs

Lunchtime Labs was hired by the University of Chicago's Center for RISC to develop, maintain, and scale a software application aimed at reducing unnecessary law enforcement encounters with released detainees. The company was chosen for its affordability, cultural fit, strong recommendations, and alignment with the university's values. A team of 2-5 employees from Lunchtime Labs designed and built a real-time, safety-critical software application used by case managers and law enforcement personnel to manage a large metropolitan electronic monitoring program. The software integrated data from multiple vendors to produce alerts and prioritization reports. These reports helped reduce false positives, reversed wrongful incarcerations, and flagged potential criminal involvement for further investigation. The client found Lunchtime Labs to be extremely capable, and the project was deemed a success.
