LuminFire partnered with the Minnesota State Fair to develop a customized database to manage their over 30,000 competition entries. The company had a mix of different databases, and LuminFire combined them into one comprehensive system. The project, spanning over a decade, also involved upgrading the system to enable remote entry of results, broadcasting them online and across the fairgrounds. This was a significant improvement from their previous paper-based system. LuminFire also integrated the different competition rules and regulations into the database design, making it easier to enter data in the correct format. The project was well received, with the Minnesota State Fair continuing their partnership with LuminFire since 2008 and investing between $200,000-$1 million into their services.
