Lumetha was engaged by RYD Nepal Pvt Ltd, a bike rental company, with the aim of digitizing their day-to-day processes which were previously managed through paper records and various digital spreadsheets. In response to the increasing difficulty in managing RYD's operations, Lumetha developed a custom software solution that centralized the entire workflow. This efficient, single platform solution enables easy management of various aspects, including employee and rider attendance, inventory, stock management, billing, reporting, bike scheduling, and GPS integration.
The custom platform developed by Lumetha for RYD is comprehensive and covers the complete rider lifecycle, from registration and agreement signing, to security deposits and bike returns. It also manages details like bike information, mileage, locations, scheduling, handovers, and attendance. On the financial side, Lumetha took an extra step to automate the weekly invoicing process, including penalties, discounts, and payment tracking. Added functionalities also handle security deposits, expenses, vendor payments, cash records, and payroll, including local tax calculations, SSF, advances, and allowances.
Furthermore, Lumetha integrated workshop management features in the platform, with servicing being automatically triggered based on mileage. Other features include digital job cards for mechanics, spare parts deduction from the inventory when used, and tracking accident cases from the initial report to the final settlement. Recognizing the need for customization in dealing with corporate clients, Lumetha added the capability to manage bulk bike allocations, custom pricing, and workflow automation for recurring business processes, such as onboarding and inspections. Enhanced security measures, like role-based access controls with two-factor authentication, were additionally established. The whole software development project was efficiently accomplished by a single teammate from Lumetha within the time span of five months.
