Lofty

Lofty Labs worked with a data analytics SaaS business to enhance their cloud offering. The client sought to improve the availability and scalability of their platform to accommodate more simultaneous customers. Lofty Labs was tasked with coordinating the client's web server application stacks and DevOps. They successfully migrated an existing algorithm and Flask web server to Django, demonstrating strong expertise in Ansible and Terraform. They also set up a message queuing system that improved performance and allowed the client's web solver piece to run with high availability. The project started in May 2015 and is ongoing, with the client having invested between $100,000 and $200,000 so far.

The client expressed satisfaction with Lofty Labs' work, noting that they've become an integral part of the team. The solutions provided by Lofty Labs have helped expose the client's algorithm to a broader set of customers and more simultaneous users. They've also helped solidify the deployment process for updating the application. The client primarily works with Casey, the Founder & CEO of Lofty Labs, and a senior developer. Casey was a former colleague of the client, which led to the collaboration with Lofty Labs.
