LiveWire Technologies assisted a medium-sized general practice law firm in transitioning from the PCDOCS product to Open Text's more current Document Management (DM) product. The project, which took about a month to complete, was largely executed remotely with on-site support provided during the rollover process for risk management and training. The client lauded LiveWire's knowledge about the product and its setup. The project was completed in mid-2011, and LiveWire continued to provide support for several weeks afterward to address minor issues.
In another project, LiveWire worked with a labor law firm to update their document management system and desktops. The firm also implemented LiveWire's custom template builder software as the new document manager. The project involved a live demo, setting up a schedule, building new servers, and converting documents from the old to the new database. The firm also implemented a Nuance PDF converter with LiveWire's help. The project, which was completed in October 2012, took about six to eight weeks of planning and a weekend for the actual conversion.
LiveWire Technologies was instrumental in a large-scale document management implementation project for a law firm merger. The project involved merging the document management systems of two law firms, one of which was already using Hummingbird. LiveWire managed the installation and upgrade of the system on the network, and imported a significant amount of data (nearly a terabyte) over a single weekend.
