Medina Communications was hired by ExtraHop, a cybersecurity firm, to drive brand awareness and recognition through strategic outdoor media placements in key locations. As a late-stage startup, ExtraHop sought to grab attention where competitors had not yet ventured. Medina was chosen for their ability to think outside the box and push boundaries in marketing. They launched the campaign in late 2018 with billboards in the San Francisco area during a major trade show. The aim was to capture a high number of impressions from tech leaders, investors, and conference attendees. In late 2019, they expanded into the Seattle area, where ExtraHop is headquartered, with the goal of driving general awareness and elevating the brand among local tech talent. Medina's creative and digital director worked closely with ExtraHop to develop the creative aspects of both the outdoor media and radio spots.
