Lazy Ants was hired by an online mortgage broker to create a user-friendly, digital solution for a traditionally in-person experience of obtaining a mortgage in Australia. The development team at Lazy Ants built a comprehensive, mobile-friendly platform, including the technology stack, using Node.js and the IBM Watson Conversation engine for the AI component and natural language processing. The main objective was to build an AI mortgage robot that could qualify customers for a loan and collect all necessary information for them to apply. The team consisted of full-stack developers, a frontend developer, a project manager, and a technology lead. The project, which began in September 2016, was completed in August 2017, but Lazy Ants continues to provide ongoing optimization and maintenance.
