Highlights from Recent Projects
Launchcode successfully completed a custom software development project for ClearSource, a B2B marketplace for industrial supplies. The company lacked the in-house skills to build software, so they partnered with Launchcode to create ClearSource. The project involved around 10 teammates, including developers, project managers, and designers. The team worked on the software's design and development, while ClearSource provided the logos and design. The project, which ran from March to September 2022, cost between $100,000 and $250,000.
Next, Launchcode was hired by a business/IT consultant to build a recruiting and placement tool. The tool is designed to interact with business customers and tradespeople, helping them source and place them for short or long-term work. The Launchcode team, which included a project manager, product owner, developers, designers, and the chief revenue officer, designed a web-based application for this purpose. The system matches trades personnel to job postings and serves as the main communication tool for travel and accommodation bookings, as well as onboarding documentation.
Finally, Launchcode worked with Blue Branch, a recruitment company, to build a software algorithm that connects individuals with employers. The aim was to automate administrative processes to help the company scale up. The software provides opportunities for unemployed or underemployed individuals in Canada by matching them with employers struggling to build their regional workforce. The Launchcode team is still working on the program’s UI/UX design while the internal Blue Branch group handles marketing and other project-related tasks. The project, which started in April 2021, has an investment of approximately $400,000 USD and is still ongoing.
