Lakeplace Design was contracted by Cybersoft Technologies, a company delivering software solutions for the K-12 school food service industry, to modernize their existing web-based application. The project aimed to simplify workflows, provide an engaging interface, and deliver an intuitive solution to customers. Lakeplace Design swiftly understood the product's vision and purpose, proposed high-level workflow models, and made UI design choices. The final designs and workflows were converted into usable component libraries, base page templates, and a full backlog of requirements for the core team. Alex, the founder of Lakeplace, served as the UI/UX lead and provided valuable technical consultation.
For a Building Automation Company, Lakeplace Design was tasked with creating an innovative and fresh user interface. The company had already received customer feedback and had a concept in mind. Using this information, Lakeplace Design developed an initial mockup and presented it to the company leadership. After much discussion about the manufacturer's limitations and capabilities, a final design was agreed upon. The manufacturer then updated their system and provided the tools necessary to build the new user interface. The Engineering Manager of the client company worked directly with Lakeplace Design's owner and UI/UX specialist.
