Highlights from Recent Projects
Knectar worked with an arts education institution to create a bicentennial website in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The website allowed students and alumni to purchase goods and services online. The project, which ran from March to May 2021, was executed on a budget of around $20,000. Knectar developed the website from scratch, established a solid plan, maintained constant communication with the client's supplier partners, and provided training on website management. The project team consisted of three members, including the president of Knectar and a project manager.
For a major university institute, Knectar was tasked with creating a professional and functional website. The goal was to have a website that could effectively share news and be easily updated by the client. The website was developed using the Drupal platform, and Knectar provided in-depth training on how to make updates. In addition to development, they also provided yearly maintenance and necessary updates. The project details were primarily handled by a single point person from Knectar.
Knectar was engaged by a nonprofit foundation in the visual arts industry to upgrade their website to Drupal 9. The project, which began in October 2020, involved rebuilding the backend of the site to mirror the frontend while maintaining the existing look and feel. A significant improvement was the development of an API, which allows information from the collection management system to be pushed directly to the website, saving significant time. Knectar was chosen for the project based on peer recommendations and their proposal, and the engagement is set to continue with monthly maintenance after the website launch in August 2021.
