Highlights from Recent Projects
Kambu was hired by HTA Consulting, a health technology assessment enterprise, to transition their internal IKAR pro tool into a comprehensive Business Intelligence platform. The goal was to expand the tool's functionalities and include features requested by clients, thereby making it more competitive in the Polish medicine reimbursement market. The project involved reconstructing, developing, and implementing the platform, which uses Java applications and the Elasticsearch search engine. Kambu was selected based on a team member's positive prior experience with the vendor.
Sun Protection Solutions Company, a producer of small UV sensors, engaged Kambu to revamp their outdated app and integrate it with a new generation of hardware. Kambu was tasked with analyzing the existing app and backend, fixing critical bugs, refining the app’s look and feel, and addressing connectivity issues with the new hardware. The selection of Kambu was influenced by positive feedback from one of the project participants who had previously worked with them. The updated app, featuring a new design and improved functionality, is now compatible with both iOS and Android.
Kambu collaborated with a software company that develops clinical ICT tools mainly for hospitals, on a crowdfunded research and development project. The project involved the creation of an app for research on patients with rheumatological diseases. The project was conducted in partnership with a university hospital in Poland and a regional hospital in Norway. Kambu’s responsibilities included translating the software to Polish, providing hospital installation assistance, and creating a project website for the university hospital. The software, which allows patients to self-assess from anywhere, is now available in 22 languages, including English, Norwegian, and soon Polish. Kambu was involved in the project from the outset.
