Joen.io was hired by a design company specializing in interactive art installations to develop a mobile application for a state-of-the-art pet adoption center. The company, small in size, needed the expertise of Joen.io to create the application based on their concept and interface designs. The app, which serves as a companion to the adoption facility, allows users to view profiles of pets, mark their favorites, and even share these profiles with others. In addition, it provides important information such as directions to the center and its hours of operation. It also features a photo-sharing function that allows users to feel part of the community by uploading their photos and instantly displaying them on a large screen in the main lobby of the adoption center. Initially, the budget only covered iOS development, but due to high interest, an Android version was quickly created. Once the app was live, Joen.io provided ongoing maintenance, working directly with the client. The project, which ran from March 2016 to June 2017, cost between $45,000 and $50,000.
