ISL (iStrategyLabs) was engaged by a major North American pro ice hockey league to develop a voice recognition platform aimed at enhancing fan engagement. The platform was the league's first foray into voice recognition technology. ISL created a multi-modal solution for Amazon Alexa devices with companion display, which was still in beta at the time. They crafted the voice UX, provided design mockups, and laid out a phase one plan that was future-proof. The project, which ran from July to October 2018, was led by a team of six or seven individuals, including the owner and founder of ISL, a dedicated project manager, and account management teams. The league continues to work with ISL for adjustments and maintenance, with plans to leverage the platform to introduce new innovations and updates in the next season.
