The senior engineering manager, who oversees six teams, sought an offshore alternative to costly onshore consultants. Intuitech provided high-quality developers at lower rates, who could work remotely full-time. The company transformed the Argos basket webpage, simplifying it for customers and introducing new technologies. They also added functionalities for appliance insurance, recommendations, and website customizations. Additionally, Intuitech worked on a new checkout API for online payments. The old system, which had been in use for 15 years, was outdated and couldn't support the current load. Intuitech, along with other consultants, re-implemented the backend using a microservices architecture, utilizing technologies like Spring WebFlux, Kafka Streams, and Spring Cloud Stream. The project, which commenced in June 2020, was completed in October the same year, and the system is now in production and working properly. The cost of the project was £80,000 (approximately $106,346 USD).
