InfoGuard Cyber Security was hired by TruAdvantage, a California-based IT and Cybersecurity consulting firm, to help them establish themselves as a top cybersecurity firm in the Bay Area. The project involved providing high-level security and compliance consulting to TruAdvantage's clients, particularly those in the financial and banking sectors. InfoGuard was chosen after a rigorous selection process that included interviewing several security firms and conducting comprehensive vetting. The project's goals included expanding security and compliance solutions, providing vCISO services, creating a strategic plan for cloud security, and offering compliance consulting for HIPAA, NIST, ISO, and SOC.
The first project InfoGuard undertook for TruAdvantage was to evaluate the cloud security of a financial client with multiple branches in the US and Europe. The project involved a full gap analysis and the creation of a remediation plan. Specific deliverables included providing visibility into cloud services, applications, and user activities; conducting a shadow IT risk assessment; reviewing contracts with cloud service providers; continuous monitoring; enabling federated authentication and authorization; and enabling multi-factor authentication on all cloud and SaaS apps. InfoGuard's CEO and Sr. VP initiated the engagement, and a project manager was assigned for weekly sync-ups. The technical evaluation and implementation were done by their network and security team.
The feedback on InfoGuard's work was overwhelmingly positive. The client appreciated InfoGuard's professionalism, knowledge, and process-oriented approach.
