Highlights from Recent Projects
IDW Innovation Studio was contracted by DEACCS LLC, a company that holds patents for products, to engineer a unique two-handed multi power tool. The project involved solidworks engineering, graphic design, industrial design, and web development. The tool, which had never been seen before, needed to incorporate an opposing damping handle on the distal end of any accessory, a wheel base, and other features. It also had to meet strict criteria for quick-release adapters and accessories. Initially, the project was handled by Mauricio from IDW, but as the complexity of the project increased over the year, a full team of various technical engineers was assembled.
The second project IDW Innovation Studio completed was for a company that wanted to provide sustainable and high-quality solutions for water bottles. IDW was given the task of designing the interior and exterior of the company's flagship product, the Hydra Pulse, in two unique models - the Lite and the PRO versions. The PRO version also required an accompanying app. The exterior of the water bottle needed to be functional yet appealing to the Gen X population while the interior electronics needed to be compact to maintain a slim overall shape. IDW provided concept design, mechanical and electronics design, mobile app development, and manufacturing sourcing connections in both China and Mexico.
