Icalia Labs

Icalia Labs was contracted by Point B, a management consulting company, to create a platform for universities to manage their endowments. The project involved the development of a university venture capital portfolio management tool, which tracks investments and returns over time. Icalia Labs was responsible for the actual development of the product, as well as the design elements such as navigation layout, fonts, and color schemes. The product, launched and currently being sold to customers, was developed using a technology stack that included Ruby on Rails and a PostgreSQL database in an Azure environment. Over the course of the two-year project, Point B invested about $2 million.

MLAB Ventures, a company working to accelerate the growth of startups, hired Icalia Labs for a design sprint for a product prototype. The goal was to validate the hypothesis of an app with a viable prototype. The week-long design sprint focused on validating and testing a product hypothesis for a two-sided accounting marketplace application. Once the project was funded, Icalia Labs continued with the frontend development. The team for this project included a project manager, a frontend developer, and two UI/UX designers.

Icalia Labs was hired by a business management consultancy to augment its staff and provide software development services. The consultancy required a Power platform developer and a JavaScript expert. Icalia Labs was selected for the project due to their high ratings and budget-friendly pricing. The team from Icalia Labs, which consisted of 2-5 employees, developed a custom model-driven app for business to use for project management.
