Highlights from Recent Projects
Hard Code partnered with an intercom company to develop a smart intercom system for apartment buildings and small businesses. The team of 30 engineers used the ESP32 chipset, and the development process included reverse engineering of complex digital electrical systems and using CAD systems to create electrical circuit boards. The boards were then physically wired and connected to a chipset and programmed using Embedded C. The partnership lasted from October 2017 to July 2018, and the investment was within the five-figure range.
Hard Code was hired by Trocellen GmbH, a manufacturing company, to build reliable professional prototypes with inbuilt and connected software. Hard Code created the specification of the planned product, both hardware and software, and developed new generations of prototypes. They also developed the connected mobile application and programmed the embedded software that ensures the working product. The project team included less than 10 people with a stable project manager as the direct point of contact.
Ultimate Gadget Laboratories, a company that designs and manufactures a high-end USB keyboard, enlisted the help of Hard Code to complete electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. This was critical for the company to bring its keyboard to market. The goal was to certify the keyboard's compliance with the health, safety, and environmental protection standards of the CE certification mark in Europe, and the FCC in the United States. The team from Hard Code that worked on this project included a project manager, an EMC expert, and an electronics engineer who assembled prototypes.
