The outlet was to have the capability of securely switching power on and off over a remote wireless connection. HAE Innovations was chosen for the task due to their competitive pricing and company values that aligned with Azuma Leasing. The team of 2-5 employees from HAE developed a design unit for review within a few months. They then developed approximately 100 prototypes for extended testing. After a six-month prototype phase, HAE produced an updated version with enhancements required from both a software and hardware perspective. After the final signoff, the company was able to produce the first order of 5,000 units in about 90 days. The project was completed successfully and met the requirements set by Azuma Leasing.
