Groksmith

Groksmith was hired by a private equity commercial real estate firm to develop a low-cost investor management product tailored to the real estate market with potential in the web3 space. The firm's Senior Managing Director selected Groksmith based on their expertise in blockchain technology, specifically Ripple, their experience building high-security financial applications, and strong references from trusted third parties in Armenia. The project was divided into three phases. In the first phase, Groksmith produced prototypes and demo software to test the concept using technologies such as solidity, node.js, and a JS frontend framework. The second phase involved iteration and initial production of limited functionality full-stack software, utilizing a SQL database (PostgreSQL), node.js, vue.js, and other third-party services like Sendgrid. The final phase resulted in the production of software for live customers, with a refactored backend and streamlined devops capability, using technologies like AWS, python, and SQL database. The team from Groksmith consisted of 2-5 people depending on the project phase, including a product manager, designer, tech lead/CTO, front end developer, and back end developer.
