The Graphic Design House (TGDH) was hired by a local city council marketing team to design and print two new publications; a 16-page A5 brochure to promote theatre shows and an 8-page A5 brochure to promote a county-wide festival of Science events. The objective of the project was to raise awareness among the city's residents about the ESSEX 2020 campaign and drive ticket sales for individual events. The marketing team opted to engage TGDH with the intention of achieving original and fresh designs and to build a working relationship for future larger projects. The TGDH team, comprising of an account executive and a lead designer for each project, was provided with the content and a basic brief. They then developed initial design ideas, followed by a proofing and amending process to reach the final design. Despite a complete redesign midway through the project due to external influences, TGDH showed great patience and professionalism in managing the changes.
