GISonLine was hired by a SaaS company to integrate geospatial mapping components into their existing application. The goal was to connect to mapping services and incorporate the geospatial components into the SaaS platform, which would then serve as the base-maps for end-user visualization. After being referred to GISonLine and screening other providers, the company chose GISonLine for their expertise and experience in integrating geospatial solutions into platforms to support business operations. The GISonLine team, consisting of a geospatial analyst, developer, and project manager, developed an integrated geospatial mapping and visualization solution using OpenStreeMaps, web mapping services, JavaScript, and HTML. This solution was seamlessly integrated into the existing software UI, allowing users to view their areas of interest, pan, zoom, and search maps via address locations, and turn features on or off. Users were also able to draw a polygon or box around their area of interest, with the application saving these coordinates for future use.
