Highlights from Recent Projects
Geosemantica was contracted by Kon-Tiki, a company that produces and sells maps, to adapt their web GIS for hosting spatial data, specifically polygons of buildings and their ages. The project involved the implementation of a feature to color-code the buildings based on their construction period, ensuring the map was functional and accessible from both mobile and desktop devices. Key deliverables included the implementation of a dark mode feature, a timeline feature, and the introduction of the capability to upload customized map layers. The project was successfully completed by a team of 2-5 Geosemantica employees, with the end result enhancing visual appeal, user experience, and system efficiency.
In another project, Geosemantica worked with tmatic.travel, a personal travel automation platform, to design and implement a unique visualization technique for displaying audio tour points and routes on a map. The team of 6-10 employees also developed a method to distinguish the most popular tours, designed and developed a Content Management System (CMS) tailored for the creation of tours, stories, and virtual museums, and adapted and optimized the tour viewer for mobile devices. Other key deliverables included the development of a comprehensive API for external consumers and thorough SEO indexing for the content. The successful completion of this project enhanced the user experience, content management efficiency, and discoverability of the platform.
