Gauss Algorithmic

Gauss Algorithmic was hired by Vitadio, a digital health solutions company, to develop a machine learning model for food recognition. The goal was to create a proof of concept for the model, build it into a production-ready solution, and establish an auto-incremental learning infrastructure. Gauss Algorithmic was chosen due to their proximity, cultural fit, and a referral. Communication was primarily conducted through virtual meetings and emails. The project involved creating specifications for the expected output, proposing an adequate model, labeling training data, and developing a proof of concept with a limited set of classes. This was later expanded into a full-scale production model. The project was successful, with Gauss Algorithmic delivering a solution that allowed for food recognition in a meal tracking feature of Vitadio's application.
