Highlights from Recent Projects
Gauge worked with an online science vendor to help them migrate from Magento to Shopify. The company had been struggling with the technical aspects of Magento and had also suffered a significant DDOS attack. Gauge not only recommended Shopify but also assisted with the challenging migration process. They carefully selected modules that would best suit the company's needs and helped integrate a solution that would control inventory across different platforms. The company appreciated Gauge's efforts to avoid unnecessary costs and their focus on marketing. The total cost for this project was above $40,000 and the relationship is ongoing, having started in March 2012.
In another project, Gauge was hired by a travel lifestyle company to migrate their platform to a new e-commerce site. The company wanted a more robust solution that could easily integrate with internal and third-party systems, and that wouldn't require expert knowledge to operate post-launch. Gauge designed a responsive, mobile-friendly site with several custom themes, enhanced product detail pages, a blog, and a store locator. The project ran from July 2018 to March 2019.
Gauge also worked with a sports equipment manufacturer to maintain their Magento platform and potentially upgrade to Magento 2. The goal was to launch a new product website that was consumer-friendly and intuitive. Gauge updated the site's theme, created a new product detail page, ensured the use of modern e-commerce practices, and integrated the platform with a third-party logistics fulfillment center. The development took place from April to August 2018, and Gauge continues to provide monthly platform support and maintenance.
