Gadgeon Systems Inc.

Gadgeon Systems Inc. collaborated with an IoT company to scale out their development and engineering capabilities. Serving as an extended engineering center, Gadgeon provided developers, testers, and network engineers to enhance the company's connectivity management platform and location-based services platform. They also assisted with infrastructure and network tasks using technologies such as .NET, Docker, Kubernetes, Cassandra, SQL, and queuing technologies. With a team of 160 engineers, Gadgeon began this project in October 2018 and the work is still ongoing. The IoT company invested between $1 million and $5 million in the project.

In another project, Gadgeon Systems Inc. worked with a medical device company to develop software for processing data transmitted by wearable devices. Gadgeon implemented a full software stack for the networking software using Python and C code. They also developed associated apps for the devices. The team size varied throughout the project, peaking at 25 people. The work began in mid-2018 and is still ongoing, with the medical device company investing over $400,000 in Gadgeon's services.

Gadgeon Systems Inc. also partnered with a medical device consultancy firm to expand their engineering resources. The Gadgeon team, led by a senior tech lead, worked in tandem with the consultancy firm to create low-power wireless solutions, connected solutions, and wearable devices, both for use in and out of the body as well as life sciences lab equipment. The number of engineers working on the projects ranged from 4 to 12 at any given time. The collaboration began in 2014 and is still ongoing, with the consultancy firm investing about $750,000 in total.
