FRSecure

FRSecure was hired by a high school district in Park Ridge, Illinois, to establish a robust cybersecurity program. The district had no prior security efforts, and FRSecure was brought on board to provide high-level advice and recommendations. Serving as a virtual chief information security officer (vCISO), FRSecure worked remotely to help the district move forward with their security program. The district invested around $24,000 in their vCISO service and an additional $10,000 for their retainer. The engagement started in August 2021 and is ongoing.

FAC Services, a professional services company, engaged FRSecure to conduct penetration testing on their in-house software, which stored financial and sensitive data. FRSecure performed both manual and automated testing to identify any vulnerabilities in the software, then created a report detailing their findings. The entire service was conducted off-site and was purely consultative in nature. The engagement began with initial discussions in March 2022, with an agreement signed in May 2022, and the project was completed in July 2022.

FRSecure was hired by an education technology company to review three school districts' readiness for a ransomware event and provide individual reports for each district. The company chose FRSecure because of their high ratings, budget-friendly pricing, great culture fit, and alignment with the company's values. The scope of work included providing an overall executive summary detailing areas where all three districts could improve their cybersecurity measures. The project involved 2-5 FRSecure employees and was based on a prior relationship between the education technology company and FRSecure.
