FOUND Design Collaborative

Taglia Travel, a purveyor of designer luggage tags, enlisted the help of FOUND Design Collaborative to create a distinctive line of NFC-enabled luggage tags. The goal of the project was to create a distinct form that would become identifiable with the Taglia brand. The core features of the project revolved around preserving the individuality and functionality of the brand while reflecting its unique aesthetic appeal.

FOUND Design Collaborative was brought in for the project and entrusted with the entire design process. The plan entailed the initial concept exploration, the definition of prototype specifications, vendor selection and coordination, and ultimately full production. The project progressed through four stages, including concept design, refining the concept, technical development, and realization of the design. Found Design generated multiple structure concepts, sharpened the finalized design in line with the brand themes with comprehensive CMF specifications, developed production-ready CAD models and technical diagrams, and concluded the project with a high-fidelity prototype and the first market-ready batch of the "La Dolce Vita" collection.

The selection of FOUND Design Collaborative as a partner was influenced by several factors. Not only did the company’s pricing align with Taglia Travel's budget, but their location was also beneficial. Additionally, the culture fit, sterling reputation, and impressive portfolio of FOUND Design Collaborative expressed their competence, playing a significant role in their selection. The project had tight collaboration and was executed by 2-5 people, ensuring that it realized the envisioned success.
