Highlights from Recent Projects
Formos collaborated with Realwear, a manufacturer of Android-based AR devices for the engineering and construction industries. The project involved further developing the initial software base and migrating it into a modern cloud infrastructure. Formos provided custom software development, re-architecting the device technically and maintaining AWS and software automation tools. The team consisted of developers specializing in Enterprise Java and React for the base web interface, Android Java for the device, and DevOps. The ongoing partnership, which began in February 2018, has so far seen an investment of about $500,000.
Formos was hired by Total Asset Manager, a software SAAS solution provider for the oil and gas industry in the USA, to improve their platform and develop a new one for reading automated field data. The vendor was selected based on the knowledge and respect for their project manager. The project entailed presenting the technology, laying out specific goals for improvement, and following guidance to conclusion. Formos now maintains the version releases of the software, with a team of 4-6 developers directed by the Project Manager.
Formos worked with ZoomInfo, a Sales Data Intelligence company, to rebuild the technology platform for the company. The project, which started in 2015, aimed to augment the development team. Formos was selected for their reputation for quality and was intended to bridge the need for developer manpower temporarily. However, their services were maintained well after the initial project. The scope of work involved the rebuild of the primary SaaS application suite, with architecture and design work done in-house. Formos was assigned various components to develop and also contributed to the design details. They were integrated with the software version control and devops systems and later performed formal QA. The technology stack included Java, MySQL, various JavaScript frameworks, Twilio, and several services and technologies on AWS.
